Macbook Pro Battery Cycle Count Over 1000

The MacBook Pro battery is designed to hold 80 of its total charging capacity for at least these estimated battery cycle count numbers.
Macbook pro battery cycle count over 1000. If your current cycle count is at 300 you have roughly used up one-third of the battery capability to retain its charge and the capability of retaining charge will depend on the battery itself and usage of Macbook but of which cannot be predicted. It means you have run 31 cycles above the average 1000 cycle effective life of the battery. Speciality level out of ten.
Now it doesnt mean only when the battery is fully drained 100 that it would count as a charge cycle but rather if you use 25 of the battery one day and 25 another day - that would be a half cycle. Lithium batteries lose capacity over time as you recharge them. That would be a MacBook Pro 13 inch from 20082012 so depending on what year it was would depend as a battery with 443 cycle count for a 2012 would be good and one from a 2008 would be great.

Yes the battery cycle count on a macbook is a pretty good indicator of battery condition. Is not required that you replace the battery when the cycles exceed 1000 or the battery health drops below 80. Since every time you charge your laptop your battery capacity decreases a high MacBook cycle count is a good proxy for the overall health of your battery life.
Cycle count limits vary between Mac models. Ultimately a 500-cycle life means that a manufacturer has achieved about 625 recharge times at a constant discharge depth such as 80 and reached 500 charging cycles. Its a consumable part.
Since a MacBook Pro battery is estimated to have 80 of its original battery health at 1000 cycles then 200 cycles would mean the battery is 15th worn. Those days are long over. Use your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air to get the work done that you need and if that means your battery takes more of a hammering know that there is.
